Frequently asked questions

The details behind how EliteRent works.

Does submitting a booking charge me?+

No. A booking request reserves the car for your dates but doesn’t take any money on its own. A 10% commission of the rental total confirms it, and the rest is paid to the owner at pickup.

Is there a security deposit?+

No. EliteRent listings don’t require a security deposit. The only amount due upfront is the 10% commission that confirms your booking — the rest of the rental is paid to the owner in person at pickup. You’re still responsible for damage up to each car’s stated insurance deductible.

Is insurance included?+

Each listing shows the insurance coverage and the deductible (excess) that applies to that car. You’re responsible for damage up to the stated deductible.

What are the age and licence requirements?+

Renters must be between 21 and 65 with a valid driver’s licence and at least 2 years of driving experience, unless a listing states otherwise. Bring your licence and ID to pickup.

Can I drop the car off in a different city?+

Not yet — drop-off is always at the same place as pickup. Any delivery fee shown applies to both ends of the trip.

How do cancellations and refunds work?+

Cancel 48h+ before the start for a full commission refund, 24–48h before for 50%, and less than 24h before (or a no-show) forfeits it. Unconfirmed bookings can be cancelled any time with nothing owed.

When is a damage claim allowed?+

Within 48 hours of drop-off. After that the window is closed and a claim can’t be processed.

How do I list my car?+

Sign up as a partner. We verify owners in person, then you add your car with pricing, deposit, mileage limit, insurance details and photos, and manage availability with a calendar.
